Impactful Social Emotional Learning (SEL) – Complimentary Professional Development Session

From Feelings to Solutions: A Focus on Social-Emotional Learning – Relationships are the bedrock of teaching and learning. Social-Emotional Learning fosters positive attitudes toward oneself and others. During our time together we will explore the factors that affect relationships and identify areas of needed growth. Participants will also develop an understanding of the physiology of the stress response, its relation to anxiety, and its effects on learning. Once we are aware of the effects of the stress response, we can then employ strategies to reduce anxiety, build relationships and promote learning. These strategies can be utilized to create a safe environment where students and staff know they are valued and supported.
